3 Effective Ways To Get Rid Of Acne Quickly

There is no bigger mood buster than waking up to a pimple. Whether it is an important meeting, a wedding function or just a girl’s day out, pimples can be a sore spot to touch and see.

Some ingredients that are easily available outside can be great DIY hacks to get rid of acne. And before you ask, yes these ingredients really are effective in fighting pimples.

Spot treatments work by applying gentle dabs only on blemishes and acne, rather than the entire face. Spot treatment can unclog pores and relief redness, swelling and pain, but they work only on the surface level. So, if you have deeper acne like acne cysts or acne modules, then spot treatment won’t have any effect, but if you have surface acne papules and acne pustules, then you will see visible results through acne spot treatment. So, whether you opt for spot treatment or not, it depends on the type of acne you have.

Things not to do to get rid of pimples

Pimples can be exasperating, but there are certain acne myths that justifies totally irrelevant methods to remove acne. So, no matter how irritated you are, do not follow these methods:

1. Popping pimples

popping pimples

Sure, picking and squeezing pimples sounds like the perfect shortcut to get rid of them, but it is not the most effective. Have you ever wondered why pimples come back to haunt you after you have popped it? It is because popping pimples further aggravates acne because you literally force pimples to go deeper into your pores, thus adding to the problem of clogged pores and also rupturing the follicle wall. The infected material will go deeper into your pores, even if puss is coming out. So, be patient and don't try to pick pimples.

2. Using toothpaste

Toothpaste is meant for your teeth and not for your skin. Toothpaste contains ingredients like baking soda, alcohol, etc that does dry pimples out, but it does so by drying out the skin and causing redness and peeling.

So, these are some tips that can help you get rid of that acne.  Do tell us if any of the above tips worked for you in the comment section. You can also take a look at our anti-acne range, that includes a mild, sulphate free acne face wash and a salicylic acid induced face serum.
